Roberta Dunsmuir
I am an educator and digital learning specialist with a professional background spanning business, human resources, workplace training, higher education, nutrition and fertility.
Throughout my career, I have been drawn to making complex information easier to understand and apply. Whether I am developing workplace training, teaching adult learners or creating fertility and nutrition education, my focus is on practical, accessible learning that gives people the knowledge and confidence to take action.
My Story
My work in fertility education is deeply informed by both professional study and personal experience.
After experiencing painful periods from a young age, multiple surgeries for endometriosis, and a challenging journey through infertility and IVF, I began searching for a deeper understanding of the factors that influence reproductive health.
Through changes to my lifestyle, nutrition and metabolic health, including early forms of fasting, I became increasingly interested in the relationship between metabolic health, hormones and fertility.
That experience eventually led me to formally study human nutrition, natural fertility education and women’s metabolic health, and ultimately to create Fertility Fast as a practical educational program for women who want to better understand their bodies and fertility.
My approach to education is supported by formal qualifications and more than 20 years of professional experience across government, higher education, regulated industries and private enterprise.
My background includes Business and Human Resources, workplace training and learning development, postgraduate teaching, nutrition and fertility education. This combination allows me to bring both professional education experience and subject matter expertise to the learning programs and resources I develop.

Education & Professional Background
A Career in Education & Learning
Education and learning have been recurring themes throughout my career.
My background in Business and Human Resources led to roles involving recruitment, onboarding, staff development and workplace training. Within the South Australian Government, I designed and delivered induction programs, developed learning resources and supported employees applying new knowledge in the workplace.
I later taught postgraduate students at the Australian National University and spent many years working in migration law, where I trained and mentored professionals, developed practical resources and translated complex legislation into information people could understand and apply.
Today, I bring that experience into digital learning, combining education, resource development and online course creation across both professional training and fertility and nutrition education.
Continuing Education & Professional Development
Continuing education has been a constant throughout my career. My professional development currently focuses on vocational education and training, digital learning, fertility education and evidence-informed health communication.
I am currently completing the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, updating my previous training and assessment qualification and further developing my skills in contemporary vocational education.
I also continue professional development in nutrition, fertility and women’s metabolic health to support the ongoing development of Fertility Fast and my health education work.
