About
Roberta Dunsmuir
I am a fertility educator, writer, and women’s health specialist dedicated to translating complex health science into practical, evidence-based education. My work focuses on metabolic health, fasting for women, and fertility education, helping both individuals and organisations better understand female physiology and reproductive health.
My Story
My work in fertility education is deeply informed by both professional training and personal experience.
After experiencing painful periods from a young age, multiple surgeries for endometriosis, and a challenging journey through infertility and IVF, I began searching for deeper answers beyond conventional explanations.
Through lifestyle, nutrition, and metabolic health changes — including early forms of fasting — I experienced firsthand how education and personalised health strategies can influence reproductive wellbeing.
This journey led me to formally study human nutrition, natural fertility education, and women’s metabolic health, ultimately shaping the work I do today as an educator, writer, and author.
My work combines formal education, specialised training, and ongoing professional development in fertility, nutrition, and women’s metabolic health.

Professional Background & Training
Early Professional Career
Before specialising in fertility and women’s health education, I worked in migration law practice and university teaching at the Australian National University.
This experience strengthened my ability to interpret complex regulatory and scientific information and communicate it clearly — a skill that now underpins my approach to fertility education and evidence-based health communication.
Continuing Education & Professional Development
My professional development continues to evolve through ongoing education in fertility care, health communication, and adult learning.
Additional training includes:
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
• Professional training in fertility emotional wellbeing frameworks, including the Freedom Fertility Formula
My Approach
My work is grounded in the belief that women deserve clear, evidence-based education about their bodies and reproductive health.
I focus on translating complex science into practical understanding, helping bridge the gap between medical research, lifestyle medicine, and real-world application.
Through writing, education, and the development of Fertility Fast, my goal is to empower women and health professionals with knowledge that supports informed decisions, metabolic health, and long-term wellbeing.
Roberta is available for writing commissions, educational collaborations, speaking engagements, and selected consulting projects.
